Globular star cluster M28


UA 16-inch image of Messier 28

The globular star cluster Messier 28 in Sagittarius, shown in an R-band CCD image obtained with the UA 16-inch telescope. The field of view shown is 16 by 18 arcminutes in extent. M28 appears near λ Sgr, less than 3 degrees from the bright globular cluster M22.
