Globular star cluster M107

UA 16-inch image of Messier 107

The globular star cluster Messier 107 in Ophiuchus, shown in an R-band CCD image obtained with the UA 16-inch telescope. The field of view shown is 17 arcminutes wide. To finish off all these globular clusters in the summer Milky Way, I've had to relax some of my standards; the weather in Tuscaloosa practically never rises to "clear" during July and August.
